Guests who come back: data, consent and campaigns done right

Every guest on a list is a contact. How to build a useful customer base that respects the GDPR, and write messages people actually open.

Filling your venue once is hard; filling it every week is harder. The difference is made by the guests who come back. Digital lists give you names and contacts every night: using them well is the cheapest way to grow.

A profile for every guest

Visits, nights attended, the list they came from, tables booked, staff notes. Recognising returning guests, and maybe welcoming them like VIPs, is the gesture that builds loyalty most.

Consent comes first

You can only send promotional messages to people who have given consent, with an unticked box separate from the list sign-up. Every message must offer one-click unsubscribe. It's not just a GDPR obligation: a list of people who want to hear from you performs far better.

Messages that get opened

  • Few and targeted: one well-made message at the right moment beats three a week
  • Segmented: Friday regulars want to hear about Friday
  • Concrete: the night, the line-up, how to get on the list, in three lines
  • With a perk: reduced entry before a certain time, a table you can book in advance

Keep only what you need

Data you no longer need should be deleted or anonymised after a set period. The less data you keep, the less risk you run, and the numbers for your statistics stay.

Your best customer is the one you've already had: you just need to remind them at the right moment.

Customers, consent and email campaigns are included in Notturno, with automatic data anonymisation. See how we protect data in the security section.
